Here you’ll find some of my most frequently asked questions about my work that aren’t covered elsewhere on my site. If you have a question that isn’t answered on here, feel free to reach out via Instagram or Email. Thank you!

Where can I buy your art?

There are a few options! In the navigation of this page you’ll find a shop tab with two links. My Etsy shop and my Society6 shop. Each one carries a different set of products. My Etsy shop has all of my sticker, prints, and original work, while my Society6 has more of the home goods items that I can’t make myself. This includes tote bags, comforters, notebooks, pillows, and more.

Do you sell your art in person anywhere?

I do! Currently, you can find my art in 3 stores in Maryland (B.Willow in Baltimore, Tidal Salt on Main in Sykesville, and Locally Crafted in Gaithersburg). My art is also carried at Mineral Springs Trading Co in West Virginia, and Little Craft Place in Texas. I’m always looking for more places to stock my work though, so if you’re a business that is interested in stocking my work, please feel free to reach out via email at hello@jenaranyi.com.

Where does your inspiration come from?

I’ve always been drawn to nature and being outdoors, often spending weekends out on hikes or exploring the local trails. I love being in the mountains and seeing the rolling hills fading in the distance. I tend to take A LOT of photos when I travel, so I will often reference those or draw inspiration from the photos I’ve taken and places I’ve been when I create. Not everything is based on an exact place though, often I’ll merge multiple places into one imaginary landscape.

What mediums do you work in?

Mostly I work with watercolor and ink, however I do love painting with acrylic as well. I have also worked with oil, charcoal, and graphite, but don’t tend to use them as often as watercolor and acrylic. I also love working with natural materials like wood, and will often paint on wood rounds with watercolor or acrylic.

Do you teach any classes?

I do have a few online through Skillshare that you can take! Skillshare is an awesome platform–it has thousands of amazing tutorials that can teach you anything from painting and drawing, to digital art skills or other hand made crafts! There is both a free and a premium version, but the premium version gets you access to MUCH more, including my videos. Typically I’ll release a new video for free for the first few months, then transition it over to premium. But you don’t always have to spend money for a premium membership! I have a referral link that gets you a 2 month premium membership for FREE! That can be found here. And once you have that membership set up, you can get to all of my classes here.

Do you accept letters and art from people inspired by your work?

Please don’t feel like you need to send me anything, but I do love getting to hear about the impact that my work has had on someone. So if you’re so inclined, you are welcome to send letters, art, or anything else to the address below.
